How we met
Jack and I have known each other for most of our lives, often crossing paths at church without thinking much of it. Everything changed in the summer of 2022 at church camp. I told a friend that I liked him, and before I knew it, word had spread to his whole family—and to Jack himself! I was so embarrassed, but that same day, he walked right up to me and started a conversation. I was so shy I barely said a word.
After camp ended, Jack asked for my number, and from that moment on, we’ve never stopped talking. Almost four years later, here we are, about to say “I do.”
How I proposed
A couple of weeks before the big day, I began slipping Daniela little letters, hinting at something exciting ahead. Since I often wrote her notes, she didn’t suspect a proposal.
On April 28, 2025, during our family devotional, my plan began. With my sister’s help staging a “car accident,” I slipped away. Soon after, Daniela’s sister surprised her with a cookie cake that read “Adventure Starts Now” and a letter revealing that the moment she’d been waiting for was near.
The next day, after turning in her devices and staying with her sister, Daniela went shopping for a dress before being taken to the Biltmore Estate in Asheville. There, surrounded by loved ones, she walked toward me in tears. I asked the biggest question of my life—and by God’s grace, she said yes.
Dress code
Our celebration will be black tie.
Gentlemen are encouraged to wear tuxedos, and ladies formal evening gowns.
